For the second installment of our series on struggling Emiliano Granado talks about his way. He’s maybe the nicest and most dedicated person in the industry, honest and open, but read for yourself! Pictures are from his newest self-initiated publication called “Thank God That’s Over” which you can order here. Thanks so much Emiliano!
I didn’t go to art school and I didn’t pick up a camera until I was about 24. I was working at an ad agency in client services. It was pretty horrible. I decided to find a hobby and photography seemed pretty cool. I bought a camera and started reading everything I could online (photo.net!). Then I took a B&W class at ICP and everything snowballed from there. Within 3 years I had quit my job, traveled for 6 months in Argentina and completed what would be my first portfolio.
